PRODUCT OVERVIEW
MAX-ALLOY® LINK CHAIN
The complete range of Max Alloy® chain, including sizes 7mm - 32mm diameters is manufactured in South Africa in both grade 800 and grade 1000. The steel is supplied by a local steel manufacturer in accordance with National and International standards specified for short link lifting chain. Max- Alloy® is heat-treated, fine grain steel developed for use in chain slings for lifting applications.
It is recommended that the chain is purchased per 208 liter/ 55 gallon drum. The meters per drum depend on the chain diameter. 7mm chain is 500 meters/drum and 32mm chain is 30 meters p/drum.
MASTER LINKS & SUB-ASSEMBLIES
The Mckinnon Chain lifting system is tough, durable, and backed by professional technical support, meeting the most stringent quality control standards. Master Links and Sub-Assemblies are used to construct steel wire, rope, and chain sling assemblies for the off-shore market.
LOAD CHAIN
Load chain is manufactured from alloy steel to meet grade 8 properties. The chain is calibrated to a fine tolerance and is used on manual chain hoists. To ensure safety during lifting and operating of a chain block, the chain is proof tested to 2.5 times its working load limit.
Most Load chain commodities are manufactured every 2-3 months and kept in stock.
